| The aircraft [PK-MDE] overran runway 35 while landing at Manokwari after a short domestic flight from Sorong. The 737 touched down late as it landed on the runway which was wet due to drizzle in the area, overran, impacted a bridge, and came to rest in a nearby river with the fuselage broken into several pieces. All 97 passengers and six crew members survived but 22 passengers reportedly sustained minor to moderate injuries. |
